The problem
Why Shingles Fail
An asphalt shingle is held together by the oils in the asphalt itself. Those oils are what keep the shingle flexible enough to expand, contract and shrug off weather season after season.
Heat and UV drive those oils out of the shingle over time. Once a shingle dries out it goes brittle. The edges curl, the surface cracks, and it starts shedding granules into your gutters.
Most roofs in Metro Atlanta are not replaced because the shingles wore through. They are replaced because they dried out.

Rejuvenation Questions
Is rejuvenation the same as roof cleaning?
No. Cleaning removes algae, moss and the black streaks on the surface. Rejuvenation treats the shingle itself to restore flexibility. A lot of roofs benefit from both, and cleaning first gives the treatment a clean surface to work on.
Will this fix a leaking roof?
No. If your roof is leaking, you need a repair or a replacement, not a treatment. We will tell you that during the inspection rather than take the job.
How do I know if my roof is old enough to need it?
Most asphalt shingle roofs start drying out somewhere past the ten year mark, and it happens faster on slopes that take direct afternoon sun. If you are not sure how old your roof is, we can usually tell from the shingle condition during the inspection.
Does it change how my roof looks?
Rejuvenation is about the condition of the shingle, not the colour. If your roof also has black streaks, that is a cleaning job and we can handle both.
Do you do the roof replacement too?
No. We clean and treat roofs. If yours needs replacing we will say so and you can take that to a roofing contractor.
How much does it cost?
